Wearing my whole closet: Week 1

Hello for the first time in 2023! This month I am in a challenge over on Instagram to wear as much of our closets as we can in January. You know how you pick the same 5-10 items out over and over again? Especially when the weather is kinda dreary? We are trying to reach for more items and build more creative outfits to start the year. Here’s what I wore this week!

2022 recap: My year of taking fashion seriously, trying to buy more fun, and being told my style sucked

As I wrote early in 2022, my style resolution for the year was to have a bit more fun with my closet and stop buying only neutrals. But my style goal kind of took on a life of its own and what I really ended up doing was seeking out and learning a lot more about the fashion/trend industry this year. Review of the Allbirds Pipers

I have been testing out Allbirds cutest casual shoe, the piper, for a couple weeks now. I think they’re a perfect chill white sneaker that goes with dresses and can dress down my business clothes as well. Here is my review of the Allbirds Pipers. A search for festive, flat holiday shoes

I posted to Instagram this week asking for help finding a shoe I can wear to holiday parties. My requirements are pretty annoying: I don’t like to wear heels, but I still want something shiny or sparkly that feels festive. Athleta makes activewear, yes, but they also make some pretty nice sweatproof and wrinkle-free clothing that can pass as casual office style. This made it hard to find things secondhand and meant we didn’t have most name-brand stores. One store we did have, however, was Target!
