Everlane reviews–what I’ve bought lately

More Everlane has been quietly creeping into my closet lately. I say quietly because I haven’t reviewed any of it. Heck, some of it doesn’t get photographed. Not because I don’t think it’s blog-worthy, but because the best Everlane items, in my opinion, feel like I’ve owned them for years and become part of my instant closet rotation. So, here are reviews of those MVPs–including the women’s skinny stretch denim, the Tread trainer, the reknit glove boot, and the Alpaca crew!

Reviews: Products I bought to solve problems and whether they worked or not

Well, that’s a long winded title, but that’s exactly what I’m going to do in todays post! So much of marketing exists to convince us we have a problem we can buy our way out of. Most of these claims are overstated. Some of them turn out to be kind of true. Here are some problems I’ve tried to address lately and reviews of the products that accompanied my crusade against them…

Problem: Dry cleaning bills.

Ethical Work Clothes Try-Ons with Brass Clothing and Everlane

I have a new job where I need to appear to be an adult. I have a new paycheck that opens a (small) gateway into buying nicer clothing items. And I have a wonderful Instagram community that has taught me through their everyday posts for the last two years that most clothing items are produced in ways that hurt the environment and the people making those items. So now, here I am, trying to adopt a “thift first, ethically produced second, fast fashion third” approach to buying clothes for my new job. I have purchased a few clothing items in the past month just for that purpose, so here are some mini reviews!

As I was making my Fall clothing wishlist, I reached out to a new company I’ve connected with on Instagram, Taylor Tall, and asked them if they would be willing to gift me a couple items to review. These items came in this week…

Everlane The Denim Short Review plus outfit ideas

Hello! Today I’m reviewing the Everlane women’s denim short. When did shorts go from fine to bad? For me, it was the summer after college. Nothing in particular happened, I just saw myself in a picture of denim shorts and thought “whoa, those are so short.” As I recently complained about in an instagram comment, why is it so hard for women’s clothing designers to get that I want a 5″ inseam, loose leg, and medium wash with no distressing? Where is the happy medium between seductive camp counselor and mom picking kid up from camp?! Anyway, I finally found shorts I feel ok in, and they’re the Everlane Denim Short. Here’s my review and some summer denim shorts styling inspiration.
