I don’t talk about this much, but I’m pretty tall. 5’11.5″, to be exact. And believe me, when strangers come up to you and demand to know your height, you must be exact. Say 5’11” and short men who think they’re 5’11” yell “NO WAY! YOU HAVE TO BE AT LEAST 6’2″!” Say you’re 6 feet tall and people just don’t believe you (?? unsure why). But the unsolicited stranger comments I get for being tall and all the clothing items I’ve avoided due to insecurities…are problems for another day.
Today, I want to talk about clothing brands that are doing a good job making clothes for tall women! I am starting to look for more conscious/ethical/ecofriendly clothing to add to my own wardrobe–just taking a few steps while recognizing that these clothing are often out of my price range. I tried my best to include the lower-priced ethical fashion brands that I’ve been admiring that also happen to make tall sizes (ps if you’re thinking “what the heck is ethical fashion?” here’s a useful blog post).
