I’m sitting in a hotel room in Las Vegas right now, feeling like I should grade for my online summer class, but really just too distracted by my hopes that we will get the rental house we put in for yesterday. Moving is always a whirlwind and I never feel fully informed when making housing decisions, but here we go! While we wait, how about some mirror selfies?Continue reading “Outfits Lately: July 1-15”
June is coming to an end and there’s not much on this blog or Instagram to show for it. The month started with a much needed reset–6 days of Grand Canyon rafting and camping–and from there…I just didn’t think about getting dressed much. I guess I would call this month “clothing neutral”–I just put clothes on because I had to, without worrying too much about the creative expression of doing it. Here’s what I’ve been up to this month…Continue reading “The month I didn’t think about clothes”
This year is in the bag now and I am one part relieved, one part too exhausted to process, and one part screaming “why does anything about my life have to change?! It’s fine as is!” What can I say. I am currently enjoying what we in dissertation-land call draft purgatory. You know, where you have sent a draft of something to your advisor, and they haven’t given you comments back yet. So you do nothing. For like a week.
Usually I love draft purgatory. But I have a lot on my mind right now, job market-wise, and have definitely learned over the last month that research is your only form of agency on the job market. You can’t control the jobs. The only thing you can do is try to graduate.
Anyway. Here’s what I’ve been wearing lately.
a weekly roundup of what I read and woreContinue reading “Outfits lately: End of November”
Here’s what I’ve been up to this week. The weather has skipped straight over Fall and gone full winter, I’m writing tests and grading like it’s midterm season, and I am about to attempt 2 conferences in the next 4 weekends. The semester just got real…
This outfit made me feel like a boss. Almost all thrifted. If you wanna twin, I found my Madewell shoes on poshmark (here).Continue reading “What I wore, what I read: 10/1-10/5”
