It’s time! For sandals! But finding comfortable women’s sandals that are actually cute feels like such a challenge every year. This is a need every summer, why is it so hard? Here are five classy sandals that actually don’t suck.
Actually cute sports sandals
There are plenty of comfort sandals, but fewer that are nicely disguised as dressy-casual options. However, if you’re willing to shop outdoor brands, some are getting smart and creating cute sandals.

Chaco Townes (also in white): These sandals are an update to the Chaco wayfarer sandal. They are leather (not waterproof) and look great! I find them true to size, and the footbed is softer than my usual Chacos. They do have a fair amount of arch support, which might be bothersome if you have flatter feet.
Chaco also makes a thin strap option now!

Birkenstock Big Buckle: The gold buckle means these are a slightly fancier Birk! My pair was quite comfortable, but I picked the wrong size–I would say they run slightly short. Also, FYI: don’t purchase Birkenstocks on Amazon! Birkenstock doesn’t work with Amazon, so it’s the wild west on there. Lots of fakes.
Minimalist (yet comfortable) sandals
Finding comfortable women’s sandals with thin straps is my greatest challenge. This year, I asked Instagram, and they suggested a pair!

Crocs Miami: These are slightly better than flip flops for arch support (but not for extended standing!). They are a great colorful option and have such a minimalist vibe. Plus, they’re budget friendly at under $50.

Teva midform infinity: These sandals have a sportier look, but if you’re looking for a strappy, comfortable sandal, these are the ones! They are true to size. They do make the flip-flop sound when you walk, but I love mine!
Teva also makes a slim version of their signature sandal in lots of fun colors!
Work appropriate sandals
Office style and sandals doesn’t always go together–it depends on your workplace, of course! But, with a pair of fisherman sandals, you never have to worry about your manicure, and you may find them a bit more work appropriate. My pick:

Fisherman sandals: This pair from Camper is pricey (I’m waiting for the memorial day sale, don’t sell them out please?). Camper makes my favorite funky, modern shoes and these sandals are no exception. They do run small as a brand, so pick your bigger size!
I’m also eyeing this Sorel pair, on sale!
What other ladies sandals do you find comfortable, yet stylish? Please help a gal out!

Long time reader, first time commenter–had to come out of the woodwork to shout-out Bared Footwear, specifically the Sanderlings. So comfortable (they have a lot of detailed info about this on their website) and I think versatile for casual or a little more put together.
Thanks for commenting! I have wanted to try Bared but I hesitate for the price point, so this is great to know!!
