It’s not everyday that my favorite sustainable workwear brand says goodbye. Here are some final picks if you want to send them off in style.
Have you ever felt emotional upon hearing that a clothing company is closing? That’s me this week as Brass Clothing has announced their goodbye. The emotion is a testament to several things: the fact that they actually make good workwear for women and that they’ve created a strong community of people trying to get dressed for work. I’m hopeful that the latter won’t disappear. As for the former: here’s what I’m stocking up on in their 40% off sale.
The best pants deal

I actually grabbed these $30 work pants last week. I was skeptical, because they looked so dress pant-like. You know? But in real life they are stretchy, subtly silky, and definitely the best work pant I’ve bought in a while!!
The quintessential Brass item

Brass is most known for their ponte pants, for good reason! They’re a legging with an upgrade. Substantial enough to go to work with a long sweater/button down. I’ve had mine since 2019 and they still look perfect.
The perfect closet upgrade

You may see an $80 shirt and feel skepticism, which is fair. But the Brass layers are soooo dreamy. If you want to wear a tee shirt to work, but feel like you’re actually being a little fancy, I highly recommend them!
The travel staple

I’ve also had the all day pants since 2019. They are my ideal conference pant because they never, ever wrinkle. I’m buying the brown just to have a backup pair!
The final Brass collection launches Monday, so I’ll add some picks from that as well once they are online.
Making clothing that actually works for women at work is not a small task, and I know this will leave a dent in my list of reliable companies for clothes š Farewell, Brass! Thanks for being my career day ones (dissertation defense photo for proof!)

OH NOOO!!! This makes me soooo sad! Ugh! I’ve been meaning to try their things, guess now is the time. I was very sad when Two Days Off, Nightire, and Vetta Capsule announced their closures, and One/Third is shutting down too. :(((
