It’s cold and dreary out, and we’re all working through the longest months of the year–how to make your office feel cozy, warm, and inviting might be on your mind. Here are a few treats that really do the trick in my campus office!
Slippers

This post began when I brought these slippers into the office. They aren’t “Whoa, are you wearing slippers?”, but they are sooo warm and comfy and I wondered why I hadn’t thought of this before. Perfect for chilling in my office on long days!
Warm lighting

The number one thing people comment on when they walk into my office is how cozy it feels. I am convinced this is only because I have three lamps and refuse to turn on the overhead light. The rose gold reflects the light in a really nice soft way. This lightbulb is specifically my favorite one.
Desk chocolate

You need a desk treat. Mine is actually several things: this addicting trail mix, popcorn, dark chocolate, and sparkling water. Why not!
Fun art

There is no shortage of fun art available on Etsy, but I got mine on Society6 because it can come pre-framed!
The office puzzle

My friend set up a puzzle table for our department after reading this article–what a perfect work break and way to quietly engage with colleagues!

I love this! When I had my own classroom, I had a desktop lamp, and it was so much nicer than having the overhead lights on all the time. I’ve been eying some artwork for when I eventually have my own office or my own classroom again.
