No, I’m not talking about making mason jar salads or wrapping things in burlap (which, ahem, have both happened in my house). Today I’m talking about using Pinterest for outfit ideas! I love browsing Pinterest, finding cool outfit combos, and realizing “hey, I have all the clothes for that!” So this week I let Pinterest dress me. And, just for fun, I tried replicating poses (which was harder than I thought). Here are my Pinterest-inspired outfits of the week.

This outfit came from my favorite window-shopping source, Sezane. Sometimes I don’t have the exact pieces in a Pinterest outfit, but I can follow the silhouette. I liked that this outfit was monotone with a pop from the boots, but I didn’t have brown boots, so I inverted the pop of color. Verdict: This outfit was perfectly comfortable and didn’t feel too outlandish for a day of teaching. It even garnered a compliment from a stranger!

So often, Pinterest outfits are actually nothing special, but the styling and pairing feels unexpected to me. This outfit basically reminded me that on dry days, it’s ok to stop wearing boots and break out my sneakers. Verdict: Another effortless outfit that I think almost anyone could make. Street style without being over-the-top.

This outfit gave me the perfect opportunity to try out my new Pikolinos loafers. They are unbelievably comfy and I am always on the lookout for more at Nordstrom Rack. I was concerned this outfit would be too boring without the warm tones of the Pinterest-version loafers and green turtleneck, but I think the cooler neutrals still worked.
There you have it! This was a great way to mix up my wardrobe at a time in the season when I get really antsy. Got any other favorite sources of wardrobe inspiration? Please share!
