Hi! I’m Rebecca, a new professor in search of work outfits. I’m glad you’re here.

What to wear to university headshots! It’s a tricky professor style challenge—here are my top tips! What are yours? Sewing my fall wishlist: asymmetrical top! Some sewing ASMR for your weekend 😂 I love a funky shape so I had to try this pattern out. I have a sheer curtain from Savers that might get made into a second top 🤔 Back to campus picks: backpacks and bags for grad students (and professors!) Closet cleanout before we are back to campus!! It’s so helpful to take inventory before convincing yourself you have no professor clothes and going back to school shopping. How to pack for a conference with beautiful hikes nearby! There’s nothing like flying hundreds of miles to sit in a dingy little conference room adjacent to a famous mountain range 😅 If you’re a professor or grad student I know you’re seeing this content, and it’s probably not a scam that is confined to higher ed. If your summer break isn’t going as planned…it’s not too late to make a summer syllabus! Challenging myself to wear things I’ve sewn all summer! Using all my stuff in 2026: a six month update of my minimalist challenge for the year!
