Sandal season is upon us, but just any pair of flat sandals will not do for me; I’m always looking for sandals with great arch support. It’s a plus if they’re stylish enough to bring along on any vacation. This is exactly how I found out about the brand FitFlop: they’re not just flip flops! Here’s my FitFlop women’s sandals review, complete with thoughts on sizing, quality, and the best walking sandals they offer.
FitFlop women’s sandals review: Comfort and arch support

I bought this pair of FitFlop sandals last summer. I was looking for women’s walking sandals that would be suitable for travel, especially for Europe trips, and I wore mine all over Portugal.
In terms of comfort and arch support, they might be wizardry. I wore these all day, every day, and my feet never got tired! Cobblestones, steps, and light hikes were a breeze for me. Even on 20,000-step days, I was happy.
One of my personal favorite things about Fitflop is that they’re supportive but lightweight. The sole looks substantial, but they don’t feel heavy on the foot.
FitFlop sizing

FitFlop runs slightly wide in my opinion. However, thanks to the supportive backstraps, I don’t have any issues with them as someone with a narrow foot. If you’re wondering how FitFlop compares to, say, a Birkenstock, I would say they run similarly wide. Of course, Birkenstock has the cork footbed, which might be cushier, but can get stinky, and the FitFlop footbed doesn’t seem prone to the same issues.
Pros and cons
I don’t have any complaints about FitFlop shipping, sizing, or quality so far. HOWEVER, they do offer several different footbed options, and I have to say, they are not all made equal.

I just ordered this pair of sandals and found them to be comfy. However, they have nothing on the thicker footbed option, and for over $100, I will stick with the super supportive option. If you don’t need to prioritize arch support, I think they would be perfectly comfy for you! If I’m looking for the best sandal for walking in Europe, however, I am looking for a seriously supportive option, and will stick with their “GEN-FF” footbed.
If you’re interested in FitFlop but are looking for a better deal, it does appear that Nordstrom Rack has them on sale. I like this pair!
That’s my FitFlop women’s sandals review! I am a big fan so far and might try the ballet flats next. Want more comfortable women’s shoes reviews? Here’s my latest round up!
