When we redid our bedroom last year, it was time for a bedding upgrade! Fortunately, we got the chance to try Quince bedding–so here’s a Quince percale sheets review, plus our thoughts on the linen cotton stitch quilt.
Quick heads up: Quince kindly gifted me these products back before their affiliate program was discontinued. They didn’t ask me to write a review and all opinions are my own.
Are Quince sheets worth it?
There is nothing worse than reaching adulthood and realizing expensive sheets are actually amazing. I never want to spend money on sheets, let alone $200, so the Quince price point is attractive.
We have the organic percale sheets in the California King size in clay–they’re $120 in the largest size. I can now say they are definitely worth the price point. We’ve had them for a year and they have held up perfectly, and they’re our favorite sheet set (I’m annoyed on laundry day).
Pros and cons of percale
I have never tried percale sheets before, but it’s 100% cotton. I would say they are perfect for warm weather or warm sleepers. They are our preferred summer sheet set–but they’re much too chilly for the winter. I assume their bamboo sheets would be a better choice for cooler temperatures.
I would also say that the percale sheets feel slinky and a bit silky. If you like sheets that feel like cotton or very cozy, these are probably not your preferred texture.
How are the Quince quilts?
We also were gifted a very light quilt set from Quince! I think it’s no longer on the site, but it’s closest to the linen cotton stitch quilt set.
This is an ideal summer quilt. It’s very light, and I can sleep under it even in the hottest weather.
In terms of durability: I have been less impressed with this. We have a cat who likes to do a biiiiig stretch on the bed, and she has created several runs in the fabric with her claws. There’s no real way to fix this, unfortunately.
Overall, I would say the sheets are more “worth it” than the quilt. For the price, I think they’re a nice bedding upgrade that doesn’t totally break the bank.
