3 ways I’m styling overalls with fall layers

Overalls can be a fun wardrobe edition but once you’ve put a t shirt under them you might be thinking: what else can I do? I’ve been playing around with fall layers, especially cardigans and jackets, with my overalls to extend the seasons I can wear them in as the weather gets chilly. So here are some ways I’ve styled my overalls for fall 2020!

With a light sweater.

My pair of overalls is fairly form fitting so I don’t involving bulky layers. This sweater is perfect (ps get $30 off here) because it’s lightweight but also gives off fall vibes–even if it’s still in the 80s here. I paired it with my favorite pair of boots.

Business casual??

Yeah, I went there. I really ended up liking overalls with a blazer because it’s like getting a bonus pair of pants. I chose my favorite pointed toe flats to add some polish. I could also see myself doing this trick with a cropped sweater over the top!

With a cardigan.

A long cardigan is a no-brainer for added warmth. This is my favorite thrifted one ever. I also layered it over a bodysuit–I’ve been reallly into working from home in bodysuits lately and also love it here because it takes one layer out of the equation of fussiness.

PS My overalls are thrifted from Free People–there are many on Poshmark, here is a link to them if you would like to browse for them secondhand.
