A new series where I show off what other stylish grad students are wearing (if you want to be featured, message me!). This week I asked my friend Sam, a MA student, to show us what she wore.
Monday

I never wear my hair up because I don’t like my chipmunk cheeks, but I think it’s always good to stretch yourself. As a curvy woman, I love a set of good fitting jeans. These jeggings are from American Eagle, one of the only store that fit my wide hips and smaller waist. I thrifted the boots from Goodwill.
Tuesday

When I’m teaching, I like to look professional with a little throwback to my Northwest roots. This plaid shirt (Carhart) with wool sweater (Macy’s) are a juxtaposition I recognize. Jeans are from American Eagle and ankle boots are hand-me-downs from my mama.
Wednesday

A great outfit for a full day of teaching, meetings, and sitting through class. It doesn’t wrinkle! I’ve had this tunic since high school (KMart find…)! I love it with my goodwill boots and leggings (Spanx)–it’s a good early Fall outfit with the jean jacket (J. Crew). Ignore the popped collar, I’m not a preppy early 2000s frat boy.
Thursday

I LOVE BEES!!! I bet you could tell from the bee-patterned pants (Modcloth) and my ankle tattoo (Tatmandu, Walla Walla). I’m a big believer in the bold pant with the half tucked boatneck ¾ sleeve (a lovely find from a clothing swap hosted by blog host Rebecca). Paired with nude flats with an adorable ankle strap (Steve Madden, DSW) and some bold lips, I’m flaunting my favorite animal.
Friday

Now this is a grocery shopping outfit… this jumpsuit (Aerie) is the softest ever and has gotten me through many a weekend of study or recovering from a night out. I love the tie at the waist that shows off my curves. The sweater is soft, thick and warm, and totally matches my ever-sexy socks and Birkenstocks. My husband calls me a maneater in this outfit 🙂
