I’ve been having fun sharing grad school graduation dresses on Instagram this week–we are looking for dresses that are professional enough, but still fun and full of personality. And most importantly, we’re looking at non-white graduation dresses! Because it’s your day so you should wear any color you want 🙂 Here are 10 great options.
Dresses for the hangry

Food dresses are a thing right now. I love it. Plus, you can rewear for future holidays!
For the wordsmith

I love this dress for speech pathologists, communication studies, and English degrees!
Some artsy options

This sheer dress seems perfectly breathable–ideal under a sweltering graduation robe!

This option is too short for me but I love anything with a line drawing pattern, someone live out my dreams please.

Geology! majors! I have found your dress! More sizes here.

I am obsessed with this leaf dress. The price is on the high side but I do think it could be reworn to a summer wedding!
Bright and happy

I love an Old Navy sundress, and this pattern is particularly beautiful (and budget friendly!).

This Universal Standard option comes in several gorgeous colors and is very rewearable!
Pants! Shorts! Rompers!
You don’t have to be in a dress at commencement. Here are some snazzy options with pants!

I tried on the dress version of this jumpsuit last year and it feels so lovely and secure on.

This blazer romper!!!! Such a fun statement.

This linen blazer with scalloped shorts is something different that could also be worn over and over again!
Alright, I think I got carried away and we’re at 11 options. Have you seen any other fun finds to add?

These are all super fun. I have no need for a graduation dress, but I do have a wedding to go to this summer, so!
I think these are mostly graduation dresses for graduates… but what about faculty? I’m attending graduation as a faculty member for the first time, and (1) my department doesn’t wear regalia, and (2) I want to look nice, but not too nice — I don’t want to show up the graduates! Any ideas you have for attending graduation as faculty would be awesome!
Oooh sorry for the late reply–I usually wear a sundress under my regalia. Check out the Quince tiered maxi! Comes in many pretty colors!
